Water is Life is a non-profit that assists in the global water crisis.
How can you provide clean water to the people of Kibera? Steal art. On September 30th, 2016, Julien’s Auctions of Beverly Hills auctioned off a 27x22 ft piece by famed street artist JR during their annual Street Art auction. But this wasn't a normal piece of art, it was part of the Art Heist for Good. It was taken from the rooftops of the most dangerous slum in all of Africa, Kibera. 100% of the proceeds from the sale went to providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene to the people who live there.
I was lucky enough to be able to assist in bringing this idea to life with design exploration for social and video.
